The all-wheel drive Lancer Evolution is offered in two trim levels: GSR and MR. Both are powered by a muscular 291-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine; the GSR gets a five-speed manual transmission, while the MR is paired to a six-speed Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift transmission (TC-SST) with manual mode and paddle shifters.
The new 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will be smaller than the current car, going in a different direction than the vast majority of other automakers.

The 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will become hybrid in 2014 and, especially, will have a diesel engine. Combining diesel and electric will maintain very low emissions without sacrificing pure performance, while remaining below 200 g/km. The strong torque provided by the two engines should also maintain acceleration 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) under 5 seconds, thanks to the advanced S-AWC all-wheel drive with electronic control.

2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Price

The 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price starting at $17,990 for an ES model with a 5-speed manual transmission. GT and SE models are a few thousand more but offer many extras for the money. Stepping up to the Ralliart turbocharged model requires just over $29,000, while the Evolution will set you back nearly $36,000 and can reach over $40,000 with options.
